How long of a shelf life do your products have?
The shelf-life of our essentials is dependent on the product.
After receiving your order, you'll find a 'best if used by' date on the packaging. For any other questions about shelf life and preserving, please drop an email to team@motherhoodessentials.co.
Do I need to remove nipple butter before nursing?
No. Given our carefully sourced and Certified Organic ingredients, our nipple butter does not need to be removed prior to feeding. It's safe for both mom and baby!
Are your products safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
Yes! We developed mum. to make skincare one less stress that moms have to worry about. However, we always recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before introducing any new cosmetic products into your routine.
Do you conduct animal testing on your products?
No, and we never will. We're committed to cruelty-free cosmetics and Leaping Bunny certified.
Can I return a product if it doesn't work for me?
While we hope you'll love our essentials, we operate on a 15-day satisfaction guarantee policy. This means that if you aren't completely satisfied with the product, you can ship it back for a full refund within fifteen days of purchase.
(please note that return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer).
Are your products free from chemicals?
Absolutely. Our collection of essentials are free from:

How do mum. subscriptions work?
Our subscription service allows you to receive your favorite skincare products on a monthly basis, without the hassle of reordering.
Simply select your skincare essentials, choose your preferred payment plan, and we'll take care of the rest.
What payment plans do you offer for subscriptions?
We understand that flexibility is essential when it comes to managing subscriptions. To accommodate different budgets and needs we offer three payment plans:
- Monthly Subscription -Pay on a monthly basis (cancel anytime)
- Quarterly Subscription - Pay 3 months upfront and save 20%
- Biannual Subscription - Pay 6 months upfront and save 30%

How do I make changes to my subscription?
You can make changes to your subscription (such as skipping or rescheduling deliveries, adding or removing products etc.) via your account portal.
Can I pause / cancel my subscription?
Yes, you can pause or cancel your monthly subscription any time you'd like via your customer account portal.
For the biannual / quarterly subscription plans (which require you to pay six / three months upfront), you can't cancel your subscription until you've reached the end of the subscription period.
Where can I access the account portal?
Your account portal can be accessed via the magic link you received through email when you placed an initial subscription order.
